| The Bahamas is an archipelago composed
of about 700 islands. Eleuthera is one of the major ones. It is located
about an hours' flight from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. There are also
flights from Nassau. The main islands are New Providence, where the
capital, Nassau, is located, and Grand Bahama, where Freeport the other
major city of the Bahamas is located.

Eleuthera is a long, narrow island. There are two airports you can fly into, when coming to Pineapple Hill. North Eleuthera Airport (ELH) is about a 20 minute drive; Governors Harbour Airport (GHB) is about a 25 minute drive, both on scenic roads.

This is a great map to show the excellent location of Pineapple Hill. Note the proximity to many wonderful places to visit. Harbour Island, the famous playground of the rich and famous, as well as home to the incomparable Pink Sand Beach, is about a 30 minute drive, and a short 10 minute boat ride away. Spanish Wells, home to the biggest lobster fleet in the Bahamas, is a 30 minute drive, and a 5 minute boat ride away. Current is about 20 minutes away. It is an unspoiled Bahamian village. Just 2 miles south lies Gregory Town, where you can do your basic shopping.
